About this hunt
The Gredos Ibex is the largest of the Spanish varieties of ibex, in both body and horn size. It has beautiful horns, tightly curled in a lyra shape. This hunt will provide you enjoying the experience of a Gredos Ibex hunt at a really good price. From your arrival at Madrid´s airport our staff will meet you and after paperwork is done, we make a 2-3h drive to the hunting grounds where we will start hunting. This hunt is for adventure hunters who want to experience free range mountain hunting in Spain. Stalking at 1.500 m – 2.000 m, it is firstly designed for hunters with very good physical shape, but we can also tailor the trip to your physical conditions, providing horses to arrive to the top of the mountain.

Victor delivered while airlines failed.
Victor is a great guide. He worked very hard for me, despite a surprising physical disability that severely limited my mobility. I say surprising, because I thought I was in quite good shape. Once the climbing began, I noticed that I had considerable trouble with my right leg and foot which very much limited many of Victor's options. In addition, the airlines lost my luggage so I was without proper foot wear or clothing. The leg is now a real problem. Ultimately, we were successful due to his persistence and knowledge of the animals. It seemed that he knew every move they would make. Victor showed me so much and explained everything about the flora and fauna of the region we were hunting. He made sure that we ate in great establishments. Spanish food can be wonderful. I also got to meet several of his friends and neighbours, which made meal time very enjoyable. I booked a few extra days to stay at his home town and tour the area. This was a real bonus. I would strongly recommend anyone contemplating hunting with Victor to allow him to show you around, as he is very knowledgeable and a a very proud Spaniard.
Any negatives I experienced were due to the frustration of lost luggage and my leg.
Outstanding Ibex Hunt
Victor has an outstanding knowledge of the game and the area he hunts and for which has exclusive use of. Also his use of “local scouts” for ibex prior to the hunt allows you to “ focus your hunt in a particular area which is especially important on a short hunt. Victor is also extremely professional and dependable in all aspects of the hunt from “start to finish, this is the guy you want to book a hunt with in Spain.
