About this hunt
Our mountain lion hunts are definitely one of our favorites. They are also one of the most unpredictable. We use highly trained hound dogs and enthusiastic lion chasing guides. This can be one of our most fast paced hunts. With temperatures sometimes ranging from -30 degrees and snow all the way up to t-shirt weather and no snow, it's anyone's guess here in Wyoming! What we can be sure of is our dogs and guides are ready to work for you! Whether we are on a hot lion track or sipping coffee watching the snow fall in sub zero temperatures, we will do our best to make sure you have the hunt of a lifetime! The hunt includes accommodations and transportation during your hunt, with meals, trophy and meat care also included. Your hunt price is for one guide for two hunters, one on one hunts can be arranged in advance.

GPO is an excellent outfitter!
This was both my wife and mine first hunting experience in Wyoming, chasing Antelope. We booked with Great Plains Outfitter (GPO) and they did an excellent job! Dirk and Jen Jenkins were extremely helpful in responding in a timely fashion and answering any questions leading up to the hunt. The hunting was awesome, as we saw a lot of Antelope and tagged out with a rifle on a very nice buck first day, even though conditions were a little tough due to a snow storm shortly before our hunt. GPO’s guide Chance helped us tremendously and I definitely would not have gotten a shot at my Antelope without his guidance. He lived up to Dirk’s title of an Antelope Slayer! Unfortunately my wife did not draw a tag but Dirk and Jen were gracious enough to let us roll over a hunt with them in 2022 for my wife. We are both super excited about returning next year to hunt with the GPO group. Everyone at GPO was super friendly, food, accommodations and hunting were all great. Thank you Jen, Dirk, and Chance!

Real Hunting
Dirk and Jen are fantastic people and along with their guides worked relentlessly to locate mountain lions over extremely difficult terrain and less than ideal tracking conditions. Three lions were treed during the week, and even if I had not get one I would absolutely recommend GPO. I look forward to seeing them again in a future adventure.
